I do the same as a home gardener. (Our season is over, for all intents and purposes- just three buds left. Florida sweetpea season runs (for me) from the second week of February to the first week of May.)

I’m curious how you determine whether you want to pinch it at two sets of leaves or three? And also, why do you wait until it’s 4-8” long? I know nothing about gardening and I’m growing a single sweet pea seedling that has three pairs of leaves right now ❤🌱🌱
