The important thing is that it's illegal to force children to do the pledge, cuz that shit was fucking creepy when I was a kid and had to explain to teachers how fucked it is to remove me from class for not pledging when my parents pay the taxes that the school uses to educate me on how it's not legal to force a person to pledge their allegiance

No they don’t, most schools don’t even make an Announcement for it any more. Of course there are exceptions but majority do not

This is by no ways pushing any beliefs or sexual orientation onto children. Just repeating the LGBTQ flag and its colors. That stuff was never talked in my school and many of students at my school had a hard time coming out to friends or telling their pronouns to teachers. Representing like this can help students feel included, that's why a few of that teachers students said something positive about it.

Honestly it's 50/50. In middle school they have kids debate if they should say the pledge or not. By high school there's at least 3 kids that refuse to say the pledge per class, if not half the class. Performing arts classes usually skip the pledge (and all announcements for that matter) because it cuts into warm ups and rehearsal time.

I had a friend who had a teacher that replaced her american flag with a gay flag and told the class "if you want to say the pledge you have to say it to my flag" so even though my friend wanted to say the pledge, she felt like she couldn't. Only then did the teacher have problems with people not saying the pledge because they were disrespecting "her people" by refusing to say the pledge to Her flag

Teacher seems fun she didn’t seem to push anything just decorating her room how she likes

Two only reason i never said the pledge is because it says ‘to god’ ive had too many SA encounters with men and women alike in churches infront of large groups of people when my parents weren’t around in his name for me to believe she/he isn’t some demon posing as a savior because I wasn’t even 10 when it started last time it was when i was 17 and last time i ever went near a church without sobs and a old lady was grabbing my chest (im a girl) and rubbing my neck despite me trying to remove myself chanting “god loves you, god loves you” because i said id rather be on satans love seat then be there

What does the pledge have to do with a teacher connecting to students anyways?

We still do the pledge at my school, but if you don't want to say it, you don't have to. Don't you just love how America gives us the right to choose what we do in our lives? 🙂

I had a art teacher like this and it was very comfortable, But my whole school supports the LGBTQ Community, but it doesn't get in the way of our Learning. we still do the Pledge, It's a sign of respect. , But Overall, This teacher is cool.

All my schools have, the highschool I go to has it as part of the daily announcements. Some teachers want you to stand and others don't care as much.

How is she pushing her belief’s on kids☠️ it’s literally just a flag, n so what she has rainbow glasses and hair, its not like she has bad intentions and honestly nobody is bothered by the rainbows in her class or by the way she looks, she seems like a fun and kind teacher 🤷🏻‍
