I've been fortunate, I guess. I've never had mould. Had bathroom installed in 2012. I did all the tiling and silicone sealant myself. At the time, i used bathroom paint for the ceiling with a claim about anti mould formula. Also the sealant i bought was an anti mould variant, only a couple of quid more than regular sealant. My bathroom fan is 2 times the volume displacement that i needed for the volume of the room. An electrian installed the fan, and 2x fan was only £15 more than 1x fan but worth the piece of mind.

Hello Rog, bleach wont kill the roots , best is hydrogen peroxide and baking soda make into a paste and apply .Molds have branches and roots that are like very thin threads, the peroxide kills the roots . 👍

Bleach removes visible mold but it doesn't kill the roots underneath the surfaces. This causes the mold to grow deeper and stronger...

No problem with mould in my bathroom, black grout and silicone 😃
In all seriousness though biggest problem is people don't clean enough, i did a shower for one chap and i couldn't believe the state of it when i returned a year later, he said about it and i said i think it needs more cleaning

Keep it dry i never had issue i used Dettol spray and napisan .always rinse dry out thoroughly even opening a window .i never had issue with mould unless it was there before .must say kept it dry .always rinse bleach thoroughly before using soap so as to stop chlorine gas etc .i scrub too with brish or green scourer if it doesnt scratch .very hot water .(Never with bleach though.)hat powder vim was brilliant .

Never had a problem with bleach pour some on leave it overnight and it’s always worked for me only downside is the strong smell. As for bleach “feeding” mould think you’ve developed your own strain 😂

Also...after every shower or bath, use a squgee and cloth to reduce the amount of sitting water over time. And crack the window. 👍

White vinegar does a more permanent job spray it on the mould and leave the room shut for 15 minutes and then clean it off

Use gloves: bleach thins erodes skin.
