Michigan fans disrespectfully underestimated OU going into this contest.
1. OU may have had a shit season last year. But they showed a very strong defense under Venables (3x national champion as defensive coordinator).
2. Again OU had a shit year but 100% due to offensive mistakes. In the off-season the entire offense was uprooted and changed out. It couldn’t have been any worse than last year. There was literally only from for improvement in OUs offense.
3. Unrealistic burden on Brice Underwood. Love to Underwood hope his journey does him well. But, you don’t just recruit a 5 star freshman and expect him to lead a victory against a team like OU. Misplaced expectations by the fans.
The writing on the wall was clear going into his contest.
