I save any brown craft paper I get in packages over the year, I just iron it to get wrinkles out and fold it up for storage until I have stuff to wrap. I have an alphabet stamp set, so I just label the presents directly on the paper, and then decorate with a few a decorative stamps and make bows and ribbons from my scrap fabric collection. I have a small handful of stamps with different designs, which works for birthdays, anniversary gifts, etc and not just Christmas which is great!

That's so cute ! Now I always do furoshiki to make cute gifts, it's folding a piece of fabric around the object. There are lots of tutorials to do so many different shapes of gifts, and you keep the fabric afterwards ! When we gift each other something with my bf, we just keep the same piece of fabric we were given and reuse it next time when it's our turn to gift! This piece of fabric has seen so many gifts now π

The holiday printed paper grocery bags make for great wrapping paper, and my family has been reusing the same gift bags forever.

Thatβs what I did this year. Saved all brown packaging paper and any paper/boxβs that looked good for wrapping. Also saved pretty cards to make gift tags, and ribbon. Planning on making some fabric gift bags using thrifted material as well as old clothes. Getting my sewing machine repaired this week then will start making them.

I have four children, and I can promise you regardless of effort of zero waste, all us moms in our community reuse tissue paper and birthday gift bags until they fall apart which has yet to happen! If they split- we reglue it!
