As a gamer I can that gamers can be very toxic. Fr some hollow knight fans become psychopaths waiting for the sequel. Also so many are toxic and when playing with them I just have to leave (my cousin)

100% agree with everything here. I studied game design and development at uni and worked in the industry for a while. Got a few games under my belt. Ended up leaving the industry in no small part because of how horrible the gaming community is. GamerGate was the final straw for me.

The amount of toxic gamers out there are the reason why I don't play games like Overwatch or Dead By Daylight anymore. The people are so toxic and it made me feel like I can't play the game right. I'll just stick to my single-player games and if I am playing a multi-player game, it's Minecraft and it's just with my small group of friends.
