It does. Culinary science 101: salt cuts bitterness. I add a pinch to my coffee everyday. As somebody who HATES bitterness, this makes me bear coffee.

Why add salt to your puck when you can add it to the coffee after brewing?

Bro just put it in the espresso directly, not in the portafilter. See: James Hoffman video on salt

I recommend making a 20:1 saline solution and put it in a dropper. Then after you pull your shot, drop two drops into your espresso and stir. I do this every day when I make coffee and it elevates all the taste notes. So yummy

If you feel you espresso it’s too bitter either the machine is dirty and there’s burnt coffee, or you just drank too many pumpkin spice lattes/caramel macchiatos in your life

I wonder why, my extracting pressure, is a bit higher than the optimal espresso extracting pressure, I tried to manipulate the grinding size, but it's not working much.

Please reply if anyone wants to help me out

So all of a sudden my espresso is inconsistent. I was pulling good shots and reaching 9 bars of pressure consistently.

Now it’s being inconsistent and not reaching 9 bars every time. At times it will reach almost 9 bars or it will barely reach 9. Also will reach 8ish bars.

I use a Wdt, distributor and a measured tamper to be consistent every time. Also use the eureka libra grinder and have it dialed in.

I use the Breville Dual boiler machine. Have the brew temp at 200 F. Getting 2 shots of espresso in 30 seconds using Lavazza beans.

What could be the problem?

Just a little pinch is enough, no more bitter

If it has a salty note, you added too much. That looked like 0.1g salt, thats way too much

This is true, but you need way less. Like half of that
