I have complained to the council year after year after year about this person and their hedge. They grow it up to five feet or more across the whole pavement (sidewalk). The pavement for pedestrians is only 6 feet wide.
You can see at the beginning (and thumbnail) how much at the bottom they have grown it and it may look like 3 feet of pavement you can see but the higher you go the more into the space it comes across - so at head height it can be five feet across and it pushes you into the cars.
The road is on a curve too. Some people are stupid and inconsiderate and the council and are pretty much useless again and do nothing. Shame on all of them and I hope an elderly or disabled person doesn't have an accident here.
This was taken in May and there is all the summer growth to happen again and this road is busy enough with pedestrians with centres and stations used by a lot more people than a normal road.

Neighborhoods are so much more beautiful with lovely old head just like that but I guess your point is that they need to trim it back off the pavement .

I wish i could show you my niebour hedge, the house empty for 20 years from Google earth looks like great wall off China i cant cope with it 😢

Privet hedges.. cut ours right back, to the wood, once 25yrs ago, 2 months greened up again, little trim every year ..done. No need to be like this.
