During my faith crisis (which I Bishop knew about), I was called as the Relief Society President. 🤷♀️ Anyway, I learned that it was MY DUTY to dress the body in the temple clothes if someone died!!!!!! I was DUMBFOUNDED! I left shortly after that

Also it’s super important to make sure the person you want to be in charge of carrying out your wishes is legally in charge. Nurses get this: Try to prep a Mormon person wearing temple under garments for major surgery. God bless em they insist upon wearing their often dirty underwear on the operating table. Let me tell you, trying to redress a 300 pounder in their magic under post-op before they get into the recovery room is quite a job. Sometimes a little fib is good. They never ask how the MD was able to perform surgery with their underwear on.

My Grandfather, knowing he was dying had my father
help him pick out a suit to be buried in because he didn't want to be seen wearing temple clothes. After he died, my brother told my dad that the viewing was for the living, not the dead, and directed the funeral home to dress my grandfather in his temple clothes.
I can't begin to describe the depth of disdain I have for the LDS Church.

Your funeral wishes should be specified in a separate document. NOT in your will. The funeral usually happens before the will is accessed. Also, don't keep your will in a safe deposit box.
