It’s worth noting that The Labour Party has not «won» every election since 1924, because of coalitions. This is however the first time in 99-years they did not get the most votes.

We understand that Labour was not always in Government but it is astonishing that it was the largest party in every election for 99 years. I doubt if that record was equalled in any other multi-party democracy.

Somebody is going to get a lot of blame for losing this 99 year streak.

As a Norwegian, i can say that since everything is getting more expencive, the people blame the government. Støre looked like a good leader before he was pm, but after he had made dumb decisions it has just been worse

Im norwegian and the reasons of this is because that Jonas Gahr Støre (the prime minister) has made a lot of bad decisions and that the electrical prices are at an all time high here in the south while in the north its really cheap and he hasnt done anything to change it except for making it worse

In Australia a federal election could predict a local election & that could predict a state election and vice versa

Inflation and its discontents. I think you're going to see a lot of countries swing from centre left to centre right as financial pressure mounts.

Worth mentioning that from an international view the conservatives are very liberal

One thing I see with the media coverage of our politicians, is that there are more scandals. During last national election, prime minister Erna Solberg broke her government's lockdown rules and several politicians got in hot water for taking advantage of a rule that gave representatives homes in the capital if they lived far away. During the summer, we have had I believe three ministers from the Gahr Støre government giving out positions to friends. Before the invasion of Ukraine, there were rumours that the government would give a high position to the politically aligned general secretary Jens Stoltenberg after he retired from NATO. Now, it is uncovered that Solberg's husband enriched himself by purchasing and selling stocks in a manner that suggests that he knew stuff Solberg would know that he shouln't.

As post industrialized nations struggle to maintain growth and economic opportunity, governments are stagnating due to neoliberal policies and are slipping rightward as a general trend.

Norwegian Labour Party has become indistinguishable from the conservatives anyway.. and there's no real left alternative.. Describing them as Ruling Party is a mistake.. our Labour Union might be more correct, as they provide the power behind the throne.. But this might also be a reflection of what Norwegian conservative right Party is, compared to other right conservative parties elsewhere. Who's power behind the throne is the Employer's Union 😊😅 and a well funded European Movement socie

As a swiss, whenever I heard anything about Norway, it was that another millionair left the country and now lives in switzerland. One guy said that with living here in switzerlandhe saves 2700 Dollars a day! Compared to the 3000 Dollars he had to pay in Noeway. So he onlyhas to pay 300 Dollars a day here. I'd alsodo that if I'd be one of them

Using apostrophes to denote plurals is ridiculous. How do you expect to be taken seriously when you make so many errors?

Wonder how quick they'll realise the grass isn't greener on the other side. When the austerity measures kick in...

WTH is he talking about? Labour has lost lots of times. It's the first time in 99 years it has not been the largest party. But Norwegian governments post ww2 has mostly been coalition governments, many led by the right.
