Soul crossing is ruled to be effecting the field whereas the monarch card and stuff like konkon effect the monster itself, itās shown by the wording. āYou can tribute monsters on your opponentās fieldā vs āmonsters on your opponents field can be tributedā the direction makes a difference

Soul Crossing affects the player, while the other examples affect the card. After it resolves It makes YOU tribute summon using those monsters.
Its the same reason vepartu, dakini and herald of the abyss can out towers, cuz the effect makes the player remove it.

I think it is worded differently. Soul Crossing replaces the condition for summoning on YOUR monster specifically. The others are specifically affecting the opponents' monsters.
