We popped into a small resale shop near our house. I explained that we were looking for things to use as substrates and ceramics (plates, bowls, etc.) that we were going to break. Found a few things and spent $9. While we were leaving, one of the owners showed me two other plates. She told me she had a box of those dish styles - and then she sold it all to me for an additional $10. AND - she's going to put broken items aside for when we come back by.
