Today we are looking at a RAW Goldfarm! This means little to no RNG involved, and it's a steady goldfarm! So for this farm we are looking at Skinning in Drustvar, and using the Leather we get from the Skinning to shuffle into weapons through Leatherworking. I tested this location for 30 minutes, so the results are based on a 30 minute test, but once again, there is little to no RNG involved.
RAW Gold from vendoring trash items: 2,098g
I also got some materials, like
204 Tempest Hides
180 Calcified Bones
1665 Course Leather
1013 Blood-stained Bones
771 Haunchy Meat
If we use the Course Leather and Blood-Stained Bones to create Coarse Leather Cestus, we can craft 126 of those with the materials we got from this 30 minute test. They vendor for 40g each, giving us 5040 gold. So with those results, we ended up getting 7138 gold in 30 minutes.
If you're looking for a steady RAW Goldfarm either right now, or in Shadowlands, this one might be the one you're looking for!
A couple of notes:
This farm can be sped up by being 2x4 (8 people total instead of 5).
This farm can be sped up by using Glove Enchant for Skinning, or Darkmoon Firewater.
This farm can be sped up by being lower level (level 50s usually take longer killing mobs, unless you have really good gear).
Crafting time to turn leather into weapons were not calculated into the gold per hour.
Killing the mobs will be even faster in Shadowlands, once we're level 60, so if the vendor prices stay the same, this farm could be insane.
Farms like this introduces a type of vendor shuffle, as you can shuffle the leather into weapons, giving these leather a steady price. Therefore, if you don't want to spend time actually crafting, I imagine the leather will ALWAYS be worth atleast 50-75% of the vendor value of the weapon it is shuffled into.
