I swear this community if full of clowns. First, everyone complained about not having a wipe date. Now we are complaining that now we have a date, it kills the excitement. It's no wonder that BSG doesn't listen to us because you we can't make up our minds.

From my perspective thereās been nothing but anger and dissatisfaction from the community when they simply wonāt give us atleast a weeks notice before wiping.
Iāve seen nothing but praise from both content creators and many friends who work jobs, that can now make and adjust their plans around the wipe

I like the wipe date being announced, gives you time to plan if you want. Idk why its any less exciting than the game wiping with no prior notice. If anything its more exciting since you build anticipation to the date.

Knowing a week in advance is great! I was able to take some time off work and my friends were too so we will all enjoy the wipe together.

I suspect a big reason for low excitement is the fallout from unheard addition. I usually get super hyped for wipe, now I don't give a single fuck. I'm playing spt now, so I ain't wiping for a while, and I suspect a lot of people are in that boat

Even though I can only dabble in PVP from Time to time, pre wipe is still a blast. I definitely spend most of my tarkov time in the PVE mode though. But yeah seeing the wipe date for the first time since I can remember (been eod since 2017) was a little anti climactic. But Iām still so hyped for the wipe and update in general. Iām sure the patch notes are gonna be ten miles long

Itās weird as someone who usually burns out about 4 months in whenever I get to lv42 to see hype around wipe events.
Iāve never partook in them and Iām honestly thankful for it since it gives me time to play other games and widen my palate.

After taking my 3 year long break i got kappa last wipe in less then 2 months of casual play and im not back into the swing of things and I'm ready to sweat again. I even got a friend of mine who swore to never play the game again to give it another go with me and now he's played more then i have this wipe. I still beat him in overall hours though

nah, iām happier with a hard date. I do agree that the vagueness creates an āairā around the wipe, and I used to get a kick out of all the tinfoil hat theory-crafting and anticipation of when the wipe will actually happen, but now i just prefer straightforward communication. i think BSG has burned themselves with their vagueness too many times at this point.

theyāve done twitch drops on wipe several times now. in fact theyāve been doing it every wipe in recent years.

I get that feeling but I think this is a good thing at the same time, pvp is still popping and I'm still excited for Tuesday.
