Even Angostura Bitters has 44.7% alcohol, although you only use a few drops in a lemon, lime and bitters....

What makes no sense at all are the laws surrounding all of this. You can’t buy non-alcoholic (even 0.0%) beer if you’re under 21, but you can buy 50% ABV bitters at any age. And drinking a non-alcoholic beer while driving is a legal gray area, even though kombucha (up to 0.5% ABV) is fine, even under 21, while driving.

The seedlip labelling is because it shares the same labelling as in the UK, where it is produced and bottled. In the UK the categories are Low Alcohol (<1.2%) and alcohol free (aka no alcohol aka non-alcoholic) at <0.05%

Back in elementary school there was a kid in my grade who knew about this. He was afraid of drinking orange juice because he thought it would get him drunk. When we tried to disprove him he got defensive about it. We called him OJ for the rest of that school year lol

Anything natural has “detectable” alcohol in it. Our instruments are very sensitive.

There's kombucha that is low alcohol conent, and hard kombucha. For these other slightly fermented foods, can you make hard bread for instance?

It is a limited problem for Muslims, but it is an extreme problem for people who are either recovering alcoholics or people who have a condition where the smallest amount of alcohol (ethanol) makes their brain or their kidney malfunction.

Depends on the non-alcoholic beer. I thought it was the one you showed (it isn't), but there's a brand that actually uses a centrifuge to separate out the alcohol, or at least that's what the rep told us. They got the idea because one of the creators used to love drinking beer after races, but got some sort of alcohol allergy, and needed a truly alcohol free beer. I assume this is similar to what the other truly alcohol free beers use.

Same applies for nicotine in some instances. It’s found in tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, and eggplants. But it’s small in amounts compared to cigarettes, chew, or vapes.

Surely 0.0% abv means <0.05% since that would round down to zero at 2 decimal places.

One time I had a drunk guy in our shop, was very bad. Had a duty of care so he was checked out by police. Turns out he had eaten a sandwich and his body turned it in to alcohol very quickly. He may have been diabetic too and this might have caused this to be worse for it.
