The aircraft, bound for Pokhara, carried 19 souls—17 passengers and 2 crew members. As the plane lifted slightly above the runway, disaster struck. Witnesses watched in horror as it tilted, its wingtip grazing the ground. The impact ignited a fire, and the aircraft careened into a gorge east of the runway. Flames engulfed the wreckage, and firefighters battled desperately to save lives.
