That's super cool!! If I may, Picked up a while back turning my work counterclockwise instead of clockwise and it's (for some unknown reason) made my edges MUCH cleaner. Saw the tip on reddit, picked it up, somehow makes a difference. (I'm no expert I only started crocheting in January.)

I chain just one at the beginning of my rows. It's a tighter edge and I can easily see the rows when I do a border
