I'm in the practice of being okay not doing the hard things that aren't for me and focusing on the ones that are. Learning to release beliefs (should/can't/ ought to) and to care less about what other people think has led to a life that is fulfilling, exciting, and fun.
In stead of going back to work for a business for a stable paycheck, I chose an aligned community to serve and become a part of. Nearly every community event I attend, I volunteer my time and energy as needed to provide support.
When I announce an interest to explore for work, I'm offered opportunities. I have a few semi-regular paid activities, and receive many gifts. Every need is met and then some.
In the practice of loving-kindness and service, I have built and been provided with a foundation of stone. I rest easy knowing that as I gain ever greater clarity on my path forward, my every endeavor will be supported. šš¼

As much as I live this, there's also the counterpoint of it being exploited. Malicious, immature, and lazy people love to take advantage of us earnest and disciplined people as well as the bated breath for our failure. That begs the question of where the balance or limit lies. Do you just allow them to continue to exploit you because of moral superiority? Or is there a point where you disallow them to do so, out of self-respect?
I know people will want to give the solution, "That's why I work for myself! Entrepenuer this and that." Unfortunately, we cannot all be business owners, otherwise nothing would run.

Men! I want you all to succeed. Discipline isnāt easy for anyone, but I will say that whatās helped me (and Iām a woman) is to turn to Christ in all things. He helps me everyday to be more self-disciplined, and yet more caring. More productive and patient. Really, everything positive and of value is found with Him. Iām the mom of boys and this matters to me.
