Who can execute a product backlog? Traditionally when organizing and planning a backlog most of the teams plan the work that will need to be done by the engineering team. This can be different types of plans for frontend, backend and full-stack engineers, but often also includes others like DevOps and data engineers.
And although these typically are the ones that do the main work on executing the product and backlog, I think teams are missing a key point, especially if they aim to be cross-functional. In my opinion, others need to add their plans to the backlog and execute them, in the same way, so teams can really align. Other members that can plan their job are: product managers, product designers, customer success, marketing, documentation, sales, and anyone who is doing work towards getting your product to the market.
