We were in Meteora, Greece, at the Varlaam Monastery, when one of the intercessors noticed a giant skull. To give you a perspective of how far away we were from the skull, our group estimated we were standing between 2 to 3 football fields (600-900ft) away. We could see it easily with the naked eye. We estimate that the skull is 2 to 3 times the size of a human skull. You will notice that one of the rock formations looks like a femur bone but would be possible separate remains from the skull because the scale is much larger. Our tour guide has been leading tours for 35 years in this area and has never noticed this skull, nor has anyone in her tour company. It's possible this is a new discovery. She's going to contact the monastery to find out. The area was named Meteora because it's believed the rock formations were meteors that fell from the heavens. Thoughts?
