1. Focus on the grip with your hands on the bar. Your sole focus should be on "gripping" and not letting go. Think of yourself on the edge of a cliff holding on to something for dear life.

2. Engage your abs (obviosly!) but let the energy of your lower body dissipate.

3. Activate your upper back muscles (trapezius) and dont let the shoulders reach your ears as you hang.

4. Activate your side body (Serratus Anterior) as you move on to the bar in the front. (Slight side angling will get you there)

Everyone and every body is different. Just practice and find your own unique technique. The above is what worked for me. You should try on your own and see if yours are similar or different.
