Nile crocodiles are so incredible. Their speed and power are amazing. Of course they have to be fast and strong to take down their normal prey. They are beautiful animals. Look at Akila’s big toofers…so cute. 💕

When you watch nature shows with the Nile crocodiles, it’s just amazing what eating machines they are. I saw one video where Nile crocodiles ate an entire herd of antelope at once. None of them made it across the river alive, and the crocodiles were so big that they swerve knocking back the antelope like they were popcorn chicken—horns and all.

The slow motion kind of ruins this particular shot. The fact that it took less than 1/10 of a second for her to grab that first bite is incredible. The slow motion messes with that perspective, I think.
