I try my combine harvester for the first time. It's a Claas Columbus from the sixties and it works surprisingly well. There is unfortunately more weeds than grain, but by going slow and keeping the the knife as high as possible it worked well enough. There was a lot of rubbish and other seeds that also went through, but I am happy with the results.

It now deserves so well earned rest and service during the winter. I have a list of things I should look to. Rust, broken hinges, grease, replacement parts and everything in between.
