So, is there a hard limit with current ram speeds or? I mean, sure, theres a hard limit on what the cpu can take advantage of, but can the ram itself be faster?

Jayz tested them on the new Intel. It improved the performance and actually beat the 7950x 3D in some applications. But time will tell how it will stack up against the 9000x 3D when they come out.

That's cool and all but I think I will stick to my 32 gig cl32 6400 mhz cheapo ram (well it's good ram but I got it for really cheap so that's why I called it that lol) for a long time new cpus don't even benefit from faster ram anyways.
