It turns out that negative ion pendants on amazon are secretly radioactive. For a thing that claims to block 5g "radiation", the irony is hilarious.

Some of these things are in Amazon warehouses. They need to do some radiation sweeps.

"Gasp, 5G towers?! They'll give me cancer! I better get this thorium pendant to protect myself."

Im starting to think in ancient times, when they say an item is cursed and it will kill you, it was probably something like this. A radioactive pendant or something 😂

Wearing my thorium pendant and my radium watch while drinking from my uranium glass jar. The gang’s all here.

Amazon heard about the Radium Girls and decided it wanted to be quirky too.

I have never heard of or seen a "cloud chamber" but the visualization of the particles was the most interesting thing I've seen all year.

I was today years old when I learned about a cloud chamber. That is so damn cool.

Such a scam! It claims to be a negative ion pendant but spews out positive alpha particles

People: Afraid of 5G "radiation" Also people: buying radioactive pendants to carry alpha particles right on their own necks

For anyone watching this, thorium 232 puts out such small amounts of gamma that it’s not generally considered to be a gamma emitter. While a couple of the daughter isotopes are gamma emitters, the half lives are so short and the isotopes are so far down the decay chain that the risk of absorbing a significant amount of gamma is next to none. This piece is also relatively inactive, for reference a vintage camera lens containing thorium dioxide can emit as much as 28,000cpm of radiation

My dad brought that necklace 10 years ago or more, I don't remember, but mom wears it and suddenly she has some kind of allergies on the back of her neck or near the throat, now she doesn't wear that anymore for many years and I don't even know where they kept that pendant

I can't imagine a better way to discard tons of radioactive material that you would accumulate during intense mining operations, than to sell to weird hippy dippy people in tiny amounts so that it is spread out and no flags are raised as a "healing" product.

Amazon should be held responsible for selling radioactive toxic products to their customers. This is a them problem not even the small companies who make these scams.
