About 5 years ago I was suffering from severe allergies and had lost my sense of smell for a few years. My ENT specialist said my only option was surgery to clear the inflammation and no guarantee my sense of smell would return. I didn’t like that option. I saw videos on YouTube about turmeric and decided to give it a try. I used 1 teaspoon in my coffee everyday and within 2 weeks, my sense of smell returned. 5 years later, I’m still drinking my turmeric coffee and have not had anymore allergy issues. I had my gallbladder removed about 20 years ago and the turmeric does not appear to be a problem.

Turmeric has basically cleared out my visable psoriasis plaques as well as reduced joint inflammation from my psoriatic arthritis. I dont know if it will work for everyone, but after a week, it was working for me. Come spring im planting turmeric root to grow my own.

I take turmeric for long term mitigation of chronic inflammation, specifically I get migraines and it helps reduce pain and headaches. 🙌

I was told that it works better if you take black pepper with it , the pepper is like an activator for the turmeric

My sister tore her ankle ligaments when we at school and an old Indian lady neighbour came over a took the albumin of an egg, whisked it till it was stiff and then folded in a tablespoon of turmeric powder. She took that yellow mixture and rubbed it on my sisters ankle, bandaged it up. The next morning the swelling and pain had subsided a lot. My sister could actually walk on it slightly compared to the evening before. It really does work

I also just saw a study that showed that curcumin use can cause low ferritin levels.

About turmeric - I cook with turmeric and black pepper. My husband takes a reduced dose aspirin every day following a heart attack 18 years ago. He has tried so many different anticoagulants, and doctors took him off because of medical problems. Question - am I causing a problem for him by cooking with it?

I can swear that Turmeric healed my knee pain. I was walking like a cripple. My doctor stopped my pain killers because I was chronically constipated. My right shoulder was stiff and I also had bodily pains. I reduced the pain in my hips with excersizing. However, in order for the Turmeric to work it had to be absorbed. I have not tried fresh Turmeric or it's powered form. I took the absorbable extract which is a bit more expensive at the recommended dose taken with food. After three months I can lift my shoulder above my head and I don't have bodily pains. (Your medical practitioner or some chemist will order a good quality one for you )
