Papua New Guinea is a country in the South Pacific. It is the biggest country in the South Pacific. It is made up of over 12 million people with over 820 different languages. It is the only country on earth with the most spoken languages. Many people of Papua New Guinea live in rural areas, about 80 percent. There are 22 different provinces with 96 districts. The different provinces are further classified into four regions based on the cultures and geographical locations and they are given below.

Tyey are a region under special circumstance as they voted for Independence from the government of Papua New Guinea. The PNG government is yet to give them their request for Independence.
