Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I have been dealing with significant chronic nerve pain from a torn disk for years. I stopped gardening because I felt like I wasn't REALLY gardening since I just can't seem to move much. I felt, "fake." Watching this clip gives me hope that I can start to garden slowly again and maybe not so hard on myself.

For me, being a gardener looks like having to watch shorts like this to motivate myself to get to it, and spending like 40 minutes to an hour gardening per day max, probably actually only 3-5 days a week. I am just starting out for the first time, i imagine things will change and my motivations will grow and fall over time, but for now im just proud to have something growing that i planted

Sometimes, I need to hear this.
I love gardening, but I have Syringomyelia and its gotten worse over the last year or two. My husband is a lifesaver and happily helps despite the garden being my interest but sometimes helps hearing that it is ok to take things slow, and that it doesnt mean that I am a fraud because I can't do some things anymore.

I garden slowly too. Due to other health issues I have anemia that just wrecks my energy levels, I also have adhd, so I very frequently have to leave tasks half finished for one or the other reason. This makes a task that someone could knock out in a day make me take a week or so to complete. 😮

Good for you to have adapted your garden to what you need it to be. I too garden with chronic pain & truth be told it’s put me off gardening recently. My goal is to adapt my garden with raised beds like yours in the future. It’s very wise to work with breaks and not too much exertion. Thanks for sharing, chronic pain is a lonely thing. ❤️
