I love how quick and straightforward this video is. I used to see “how to zero your rifle” videos that had time markers for over 10 minutes! I’m looking for the basics on how to zero, not an essay on who, what, where why , then how zeroing is a thing.

Just remember to use threadlocker on your optic mount. First rifle I ever bought, I was so excited that I put everything together, but then it was a couple months before I was able to go outdoors to shoot at distance. I forgot that I was just test fitting stuff and researching how to level and position scopes properly. I didn't actually give it the FINAL install with the blue juice.
So of course when I went to zero it, every five round group gave me progressively more garbled nonsense with every adjustment, until I finally realized my scope was walking around. Felt really stupid for a minute, then locked it down properly because I WAS smart enough to bring tools with me. One inch groups in the center diamond for the rest of the day.

First of all, shout out for the LMT Mars-L for lefties like me. Secondly, great info that’s easily digestible. If I could add: if you’re on a budget and need to conserve ammo, a three shot group is effective too instead of five.
