I got some Booker T Washington Halfs in "Junk Silver" that were a lot like this. They didn't look quite right and put them on the sigma and they didn't test. Dealer replaced them and gave me extra to make up for it. GOOD DEALER

I really gotta get myself a SIGMA Tester. It saves a lot of time up front when authenticating and itβs just one more essential tool in my numismatic kit. I just wish the damn things would come down in price. π₯΅

That is why on these expensive Classic Commemorative Half Dollars I only buy coins graded by a reputable Grading Company, and from a reputable Coin Dealer.

It is really sad how greedy individuals are making it so difficult that if you buy on the internet, you really must buy graded coins and check them out on the authentication section of the grading companies. It used to be easy to buy raw coins, now raw coins are a real hassle! Thank you, Dan, for your dedication to the hobby!

They've been selling these on Facebook. I kept trying to report the page selling these counterfeit coins, but Facebook did NOTHING about it. This is from Facebook sellers with the blessing of Facebook. They took crooked money to advertise fake U.S. coins.

If only they could crack down on the importers of this fake legal tender. No one would spend one these days for face but they are a federal offense.

I'm not saying they aren't counterfeit, but the Sigma says pre 1900 in the video. Shouldn't it be 1945 setting?
