Yes. This happened to me. The function that I currently support is like a dumping ground for things that people don’t know where to go for the help that they actually need. I opened the conversation to my manager by suggesting that we needed one more dedication person in the function that I perform or that we needed to break up the function into “pre-function” and “post-function” which would then still require an additional member on the team to handle. I got the same old “oh, okkkkkk” that I normally get when suggesting actual, effective change. Lawd I’m done. 😂
