Who are Bart and Trix?
The “square heads style” was invented by artist Erlend Steiner Lovisa. When he attended the art academy in Den Bosch in 1993, he developed this style. The idea behind the square head gradually emerged in a sketchbook and gave him a clear grip while drawing. All objects became square and got an eye and came to life. The simple design allows Erlend to fully focus on the performance and the story. Somewhere on the head are 3 hairs; this same image also represents the hands. Over the years, Erlend drew sketchbooks full. Later, Erlend's father came up with the names Bart and Trix. Then the idea for the "Bart and Trix" series was born to bring the "square heads style" to life. From 2018 "Bart en Trix" can be seen on YouTube.
