The other day too, it was about worship being a lifestyle and not merely a cute voice and Sunday thing. We really do appreciate it, Sir.
God willing, some day, we shall meet but before then, again, Sir, please treat the body of our LORD and Savior Jesus to the hymn "Great is our LORD God and greatly to be praised." Shalom, brother

Sorry Don, The Holy Spirit has touched me deeply in a dark noisy shop with machines running all around or when I was knee deep in mud repairing a phone cable in the rain with a backhoe running... My heart was filled with joy.
The worship "machine" is an industry and distraction. You are a great musician trying to convince your audience that they need your craft to have a dialogue with God. A plumber fixing a toilet can have a powerful encounter with the Holy Spirit....
Not convinced. Few people who play in the Sunday concert band rarely practice, at home, or show up early or on time. I'm a professional drummer of 50 years who will no longer participate in the manipulation machine.
Not to mention the sickening amount of misused funds spent on instruments, backline, lighting and frontend. Then there's the cult like, religious, legalistic requirements in order to be accepted in "The Club" Or the corporate, task master administrative, scheduling and in ear click and instruction software.
I am now in a little church with only a piano and organ neither one is played together. Now the playing is way in the background, faintly heard, under girding the most important part... The powerful message of the old hymns. No repetitive mantras....I always struggled in my heart whether playing drums in Church was a good thing.
