There should be a maximum to the amount of time served in ANY federal elected office. You should not be able to run for president at 80 after serving in congress from the age of 40.

Totally arbitrary, but 60-65 would seem appropriate, most professionals cut their teeth in their 20s, do their best work in their 30s, become managers in their 40s, by 50s plus they should be working on their legacy before retirement. If you're not wise by then you're never going to be.
