Month 2 in Biloxi. I can’t tell if time is crawling or if time is flying, but it’s a helluva lotta fun & the memories I’m making are making up for missing Ida-home. OH! AND THE FRIENDS. My gosh, the friends. I’m making SUCH good friends and I’m so grateful for every one of them—my classmates are AMAZING, my running buddies are freaking awesome, my golfing guys (who are also classmates) are a blast, I’ve become close with my landlords (who live downstairs) and who look after me like second parents, and my CrossFit friends have become my second family. I AM SO GRATEFUL!

I feel like my brain expands three sizes every day with everything with learn in cyber training, so being active both before and after class (and especially on the weekends) has been a life-saver.

During Month 2, my mom came to visit and we celebrated my birthday together. I also got back into golfing, played my first round of pickleball, started getting a bit more comfortable at CrossFit, and began training for a marathon that I’m hoping to run in January 2025. Do I do anything halfway? Nope. I’m all in, baby.

The biggest takeaway is that I’m passing cyber training. I take it one day at a time, one study session at a time, and one block test at a time. When I’m finally able to wear my cyber patch and earn my cyber wings, I’ll know the struggles and hours upon hours it took to get there. I am thrilled for that day to come.

But in the meantime, I’ve got 133 days left to go (which means I’ve already been here 87 days!). Can’t wait to see what the next 5-months hold!
