The Bible was assembled by the Catholic Church some 350+yrs after Our Lord ascended. Jesus didn't say write everything down, Jews relied on the oral "tradition" as Moses did, this was normal for them.Simple way of passing things on. Tradition began from the start and was equal to the Bible, who came much later.
