Big fat ugly hood vent in the middle of the space. Terrible idea. I’m living w it now and I hate it. You’ll also always have to clean it cause it’s so noticeable when it gets dusty and if you cook a lot it’ll be a pain to clean (if it does what it’s supposed to do). Also if it does what it’s supposed to do it will need to be placed as low as possible to actually pull out the smoke and grease and odors. If you had put it on the wall you’d only have to clean one or three sides of it depending on how you aesthetically installed it. Hopefully this helps someone remodeling a kitchen. I’m remodeling now and this is a big reason why. Such a dumb monstrosity in the middle of the kitchen. This hood may be sleeker than what I have but if you want a hood that does what it’s supposed to do it has to be significant.
