Strip 3/4 inch of insulation, use needle nose to hold wire just above insulation, use lineman to twist wire as you gently pull, aim for 3 twists, want it to look like a candy cane. As you turn in your 3rd twist, move needle nose to the insulation and finish the twist. You do not want any damage to the insulation or any insulation in the twist.
