I know weddings can get super expensive and all, but I can't be the only one that thinks it's super tacky to charge your guests to eat at your wedding reception. My family and friends did help a lot with the costs, but it was offered to us, I would NEVER ask, let alone require anyone pay to attend my wedding.

I didn’t go to a cousins wedding just because kids weren’t invited and mine were small toddlers at the time. I didn’t leave them for long periods of time. They were PART of me back then.
My cousin was upset and didn’t speak to me for a bit.
Ever since, all kids have been invited to every wedding. That same cousin even brought her new baby to a recent wedding too.
Now that my kids are older, Ive gone to weddings without them. But when they were small, no.
When I have my next baby it will be the same thing. Baby comes with me or Im out.
My need to be there for them outweighs their need for a cry-less party.

I never knew a wedding invitation where the guests are expected to pay (and also work, in her case) for the meals. In my culture, this would've been a scandal told for generations.
