Almost rural Iowa here, I can think of a lot of situations where I wouldn't leave and only a few when I would. A bad prairie wildfire and that would be temporary but urgent to a nearby location, a stunning long term drought and that probably would be permanent but not urgent or if Offutt was nuked and that would be urgent and permanent. And I'm not sure if I would go north or south. Probably wouldn't make much difference.

Great video! I like the idea of having sturdy totes or containers full of a great mix of preps: water, specific types of food, can openers for the food, freedom seeds, actual seeds, first aid basics, fire starting items, etc. Essentially, the equivalent of large bugout bags with a focus more on water and food. The bugout bags would have more primitive survival items, extra pair of clothes, etc. Having a few totes/containers full of preps ready to go, perhaps in a garage, could make a huge difference. Yes, there are items to consider adding that I didn’t list here. A truck or SUV with the ability to take everyone in your household, and a few of these containers, to safety or a bugout location, is very important. I am aware that bugging out is usually a last resort, but knowledgeable preppers prepare for different scenarios. Bugging out could be a temporary thing. Prep up, everyone.

If it come to the bug out reason actually happening (and it is certainly possible) we're history.
On the bright side I'm as prepared as i can be with my situation. But as a believer I trust God to protect me if it's not my time to go to my eternal home.
I don't know if the situation would be in the devil's evil hand, even if it is, God has to allow it. But in Revelation we are told we will be removed before God's wrath.
Now is the time to spend time on your knees if you have non belivers in your family or friends.
