This is true I was born here, but I have family from Dominican Republic, and when they came over here my I was told literally that “we lived like kings” here and “that we had so much money that we could pick it up from piles from the floor whenever we wanted to” I had a uncle say he didn’t realize he was going to gave to work harder over here.

My wife is from the Philippines and when I met her she until this day that as she was growing up that the Golden Gate Bridge was made of Gold from her teacher’s!
The crazy thing was my wife had relatives that were teachers and one was a school Principal and said the same thing
She started Gram er School in 1964 so many school aged kids were taught this for n many generations

Tell that to scammers who catfish people with fake names and someone else's photo. I've never fallen for it. However, we need to protect our elder relatives from these scammers. A scammer actually told me that America is rich. He should see all the homeless people in our country, and others.
