Interesting as I'm now reading Oliver Sacks The River of Consciousness where he talks about different Speeds of time. People move at different speeds; animals much more so. He says.

There is no time. There is only spacetime. When you change space you change time. Hence the perception of time dilation with topography changes. When shape of the space is changed (topography) the perception of time changes

Would this be considered slowing life down to the "now"?

I expect that the other 50 weeks would feel like 6 months, but that’s a nice idea to have half of your experience per year feel like it was on vacation

How you can quantifiably calculate the benefits of that time dilation? Did you actually did the work of 1 week in one day due to that time delation?

If not verified, it is more of an esoteric and/or entertainment thing rather than one that offers actual benefits.

The real question is:
Does time dilation offers any benefits to time management and task completion?

So basically you should be moving to new places all the time, because then it will feel like you are adding years to your life? Haha. I mean many people go on trips each year to get a break. I guess one of the reasons they do it is because they get an escape from the mundane every day life, where it feels like every day is the same and time is just passing without you noticing it.

So, Tim Ferris is essentially suggesting that we should go on a couple trips each year, because then we will actually notice time passing. I am sure people will go on trips whether or not Tim Ferriss suggests to do so.
