He is not wrong at all. I have saved so much money by working on my own bike. I have unfortunately had to do a bit of advanced work such as rebuilding the clutch and a fuel pump rebuild, along with a lot of other stuff. But it’s a valuable skill to have and brings you a lot closer to your bike as well. Makes me appreciate mine a whole ton

generally agree, but I absolutely don't understand the obsession Americans have with battery tenders.
None of my or my family member's bikes have tenders and none of us need to change batteries often/have our batteries die on us. Every single bike you can put into a garage for half a year or even more and it will fire right up afterwards.

Getting your bike to mechanic shop can cause a lot of money. You can diy all literally all YouTube is full of tutorial for specific motorcycle you have. Just need to buy the right tools.
