As someone whose been watching makeup tutorials since at least 2009, the dupe craze is not recent. There used to be so many videos how to dupe Mac eyeshadows. There was a dupe for Mac Woodwinked in the original 6 pan color icon palettes from Wet n Wild.

TBH I don’t remember Butter Bronzer being a dupe for Hoola, especially considering they’re nothing alike 😅 if my memory serves me correctly the formulas are very different not to mention the shades are not even comparable… did we really used to think they’re dupes?

The elf camo concealer isn't even CLOSE to the tarte one. I've tried both, and the elf one made my under eyes look even more dull and colorless. The tarte one almost perfectly conceals them. BTW, this is coming from me, someone with ACTUAL dark circles that are so bad i look like i got beat up in a fight and got black eyes.

I’m sorry but PF Butter Bronzer is better than Hoola, Hoola is way too orange. Butter Bronzer is more of a golden bronze and it’s not entirely matte it just looks way more natural

None of these were dupes. TOTALLY different formulas. Especially the concealer.
