I have that machine and I hate the color. It’s so extremely dark I can’t even see the damn thing when it lays on a black table with the light low. Next one is gonna be silver again.

Yeah it’s just a marketing tactic. I bet Apple doesn’t actually apply a coating, just a different finish which they thought was less fingerprinty but actually isn’t 💀. I was at a store today and used the M3 Air Midnight and yep it’s a magnet for fingerprints alright

To be honest, just don't get Midnight. Starlight too is also just a mid color. Silver is still the best MacBook color you can get
