Twice a year use your cordless leaf blower and from the inside of the house behind the dryer stick it in the vent line and blow out the lint! Works great and you'll see dry times decrease. Cheers!!

Never saw a ducting system that goes up through the roof, all ours go out the side of the home. Good video! Most people never check the vent!

I’m in the Chicago area, I have never seen a dryer vent out on the roof. Must be code in our area. My folks lived in Charlotte, NC and they had a dryer that vented out through a soffit, roof would have been closer, it worked ok. Comments?

Another thing that can stump people is after many years and hours of service, the thermostats (mainly the high limit thermostat) can get weak with age which will cause the heating element to cycle off sooner than it should which misleads people into thinking the heating element is on it’s way out or the main cycling thermostat is not working like it should.

Had mine stop heating about 5 years ago I changed the heating element and it worked, well it stopped again about 1 month ago, I figured same issue so I bought another heating element and it was fine that month but it's back to not heating. I ordered a new heating element since i assumed i got a faulty one and again swapped heating element and threw in a new thermal fuse, made sure the duct and lint traps are clear still no heat, any idea what it can be? I've got an old Whirlpool Elite He4

If you dry your cloths and they are to wet you’ll most likely blow a fuse which is the one that blows hot air.

Have a samsung dryer , have no heat plus works by closing door . Controls light up etc , but have no function. So to operate close door ,to stop open door . Still use it ,take about 2 to 3 hours to dry clothes .
