The first time I have ever down voted a video on this channel. I did so for inaccurate and misleading political labeling
Nixon did not start the war on drug policies, he popularized the term. Neither Nixon or Reagan can be said to have put those disastrous policies in place. The presidential branding is political: at the time because each president wanted to take credit, and now because it is unpopular. Neither president controlled Congress during their time in office. And the war on drugs began with and was mostly carried out on the state level, crossing partisan divides. In fact then Senator Joe Biden voted in favor of the increased penalties. You went out of your way to spin a partisan tale that is simply untrue.
