Btw. I think it is pretty adorable. The 8 by 8 gird instead of the 16 by 16 one reminds me of The Escapists. The tools and textures give it a stylish look.

I can see the Modded Minecraft inspiration here. The conveyors/belts(?) remind me of something like Create or other mods. Makes me wonder, will there be any other mod inspirations? (Ex. Thermal or Mekanism Machines? Maybe IC2/GregTech?)

I believe these are the things that makes it appear like it is a clone:
- Top down view
- little square island
- low resolution sprites (little pixels)
- color, it can really change depending on saturation and other stuff
Maybe you want to keep the low res pixel sprites but, you can chnage the sprites:
- Upscale to a bigger canvas (px*px)
- Change the pixel style to a more drawn style ( You may keep the cuteness)

Yeah but the visuals are similar the collection of materials is similar and the gameplay loop is very similar to forager so you literally can’t blame people for thinking Forager as soon as they see your game
