No medication worked for me until the (still considered experimental) ketamine treatments. It stabilized me quickly and I've been making huge leaps in therapy. No longer do sirens ruin my whole day and cause me to get violent. No longer does the mere mention of certain words cause me to lose consciousness. It only bothers me but doesn't control me

After serving as a combat engineer in Baghdad in 06, pulling the role of a .50 cal gunner in a route clearance convoy, I had my fair share of ptsd. I took pills from the va, drugs from the streets, alcohol from MANY bottles, but none of it helped. I can tell you the only thing that helped me get over my ptsd was Jesus Christ. Once I sought his help in my life, I stopped jumping at shadows, stopped having nightmares, and my anger and hatred subsided. Look to God, and he will be there waiting.
