Here is how to make boba tea overnight oats! This is an oatmeal recipe for those who don't like the taste of oatmeal because this recipe is not bland, and it tastes just like your favourite drink! It can be made in under 10 mins, it is super easy and tastes delicious. I really loved drinking boba and haven't been able to have any since the beginning of quarantine so I wanted to recreate my favourite drink into something I could eat for breakfast, and a healthy one too! Overnight oats are honestly the best breakfast food, full of different nutrients and so amazingly delicious, it is such a simple process but the result is everything but ordinary. I mean Boba. Tea. That speaks for itself.
The equation to the perfect overnight oats are simple, you will need double the milk of however much oats you add, so for example if I use 1 cup oats, I will need 2 cups of milk. This gives it the perfect consistency, not too watery and not too dry. I also really recommend adding in at least 1 tbsp of chia seeds to your oats because they have a really nice texture (in my opinion), and can help absorb some extra liquid which makes your overnight oats super thick and gooey (which is a good thing!) This is my go to breakfast, I usually make it the night before and add all of my favourite toppings the next morning! In my overnight oats, I like to add peanut butter, fresh berries, granola, and sometimes protein powder.
Here is my perfect milk tea overnight oats recipe:
_____
🌟1/2 oats
1 cup of almond milk (any plant based milk is good)
2 tbsps maple syrup
2 earl grey tea bags
1 tbsp chia seeds
Here is the basic recipe:
_____
🌟However much oats you would like
Double that amount of liquid
Some type of sweetener
At least 1 tbsp chia seeds
Some creativity and experimentation to jazz it up!
